Voortbouwend op haar reeks Forget Me Not (2022) groeide het werk van Joëlle Dubois uit tot een drieluik van tentoonstellingen dat in deze monografie samenkomt als een krachtig geheel. In deze aangrijpende monografie verkent ze, geïnspireerd door haar moeders Alzheimer, thema’s als verlies, rouw, herinnering en liefde. Met intieme beelden, van zelfportretten tot tedere scènes met haar moeder, ontvouwt Dubois een poëtische reflectie op verbondenheid, identiteit en heling. Voor deze reeks brengt ze voor het eerst ook indrukwekkend sculpturaal werk naar buiten en krijgt dit boek met videostills een extra dimensie. Dubois presenteert een rauw, eerlijk en troostrijk portret van leven, verlies en de hoop op een nieuw begin.

Met tekstbijdragen van onder anderen Katrina Schwarz (Whitechapel Gallery, Londen), Christel Tsilibaris (Bozar, Brussel) en Patrick Ronse (Be-Part, Kortrijk).
