Tekst achterflap

Java: House of Memory is a poetic photography book about memory, heritage, spirituality, and the quiet search for belonging between worlds.
A journeys across Java, temples, mountains, villages, and sacred landscapes where silence still carries the presence of the past. Ancient stones, ritual, mist, prayer, and everyday life become part of an inner journey shaped by ancestry, cultural remembrance, and recognition.

With special gratitude to His Majesty the King (SISKS) Pakubuwono XIV Hangabehi, Her Majesty KRAy. Inna, and GRAy. Putri Purnaningrum for their warmth, generosity, and cultural guidance.
My deepest thanks also to my brother RMRP Niko Soeryo Poesponingrat and his wife, my sister Sherin Djajawitana, whose support, friendship, and presence became part of this journey.
To the brothers of the Bumi Pataka Lawu community, Dayu Handoko, Plengeh Tirtonagoro, Oick Armstrong, Tony Hatmoko, Bimo Pakusadewo, etc. Thank you for the shared moments, brotherhood, stories, and spiritual companionship along the path.

I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to The Lembaga Dewan Adat (LDA team of the Karaton Surakarta Hadiningrat) for preserving and sharing the culture
