Tekst achterflap
A museum is turned into a home for a refugee family - Gregor Schneider's highly political and multifaceted new work.
In spring 2025, Gregor Schneider invited a family with two children from Syria to live for a few weeks at Haus Esters, an architectural "icon" designed by Mies van der Rohe which has been used as a museum for years. The place once again fulfilled its original purpose as a private residence. Schneider documented his project on photographs and films that do not show the inhabitants.
